A Thousand Members, and $1,000 to Match

On 31 August someone signed up and quietly became our thousandth member. The club opened on 10 July. That is a thousand people in under two months.
We wrote back in August that we had hoped to reach five hundred by Christmas and got there in a month. We were not expecting to double it before spring.
$1,000 in hotel credits, six winners
We said we would mark the next milestone properly, so here it is: $1,000 in BookingClub hotel credits, split across six winners.
- One winner takes $500
- Five winners take $100 each
It is drawn on Monday 12 October at 7:00pm AEDT. Every credit lands straight on the winner's account and comes off their next booking automatically, with sixty days to use it.
Regular Traveller and Seasoned Traveller members are entered automatically. Regular holds three entries, Seasoned holds five. As long as your membership is running at the draw, you are in, and there is nothing to enter or claim.

The Gold Coast draw closes first
Before that one, there is a trip on the table. The Gold Coast Escape for Two is drawn Thursday 1 October, with entries closing at 5:00pm that afternoon: flights in from your nearest Australian capital, and a stay by the beach at a four or five star hotel.
Regular Traveller and Seasoned Traveller members go in automatically here too, and every month of membership adds another entry.
Something new: just say what you want
The other thing we built this month is the part we are most pleased with.
You can now describe a trip on the booking page the way you would say it out loud, and we fill in the search for you:

It reads the destination, the dates, the guests, your budget and whether you want free cancellation, and puts them all in. If you have not settled on a place yet, that works too:

You will get back a handful of destinations that actually fit, priced and bookable, rather than a blank page asking where you want to go.
