Travel Booking Terms

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

Travel bookings on the BookingClub platform are arranged by Booking Club Pty Ltd (ABN 89 699 101 025), Level 3 / 55 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000 ("BookingClub", "we", "us"). We arrange accommodation and related travel services that are provided by third parties: the hotel or property you stay at, and the wholesale travel suppliers through whom the accommodation is sourced. Your stay itself is provided by the property, subject to the property's own conditions.

BookingClub acts as your agent in arranging each booking. Your accommodation contract is between you and the hotel, not with BookingClub. We facilitate the booking and payment; we do not own, control, or supply the accommodation.

These Booking Terms apply together with our Membership Terms and Privacy Policy. Booking is available to BookingClub members only.

2. Prices and payment

The price shown at checkout is the total you pay for the booking, in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise, and includes taxes and fees except where the booking page states that a fee is payable at the property (for example resort fees, city taxes or bonds collected by some hotels at check-in).

Payment is taken by card at the time of booking. Your card is authorised first and only charged once the property confirms your reservation; if the reservation cannot be confirmed, the authorisation is released and you are not charged.

Where we show a "retail" comparison price, it is the supplier's listed public selling price for the same room, dates and conditions at the time of search. We only show it when your member price is lower.

3. Cancellations and refunds

Every rate has its own cancellation policy, set by the property or supplier. The exact policy, including the dates and amounts involved, is shown before you book, at checkout, and on your booking in the members area. In summary:

  • Refundable rates can be cancelled free of charge until the date and time stated on the rate. After that, the stated cancellation charge applies and the remainder is refunded to your original payment method.
  • Non-refundable rates are exactly that: cancelling does not return the payment. They are cheaper for a reason.
  • No refund applies once a stay has commenced, including early departure or no-show.

Refunds are processed when the cancellation is confirmed and typically reach your card within 5 to 10 business days. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where a service is not provided as booked.

4. Changes to bookings

Date or room changes are handled as a cancellation under the rate's policy followed by a new booking. Refundable bookings can be cancelled by you from your booking in the members area and then rebooked at current prices; non-refundable rates cannot be changed without losing the payment. If a property or supplier cancels or materially changes your booking, we will tell you as soon as we know and arrange a full refund or an alternative at your choice.

5. Check-in and your responsibilities

  • The lead guest must present photo ID matching the booking name at check-in, and be at least 18 years old.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of guest names, dates and occupancy entered at booking.
  • Properties may require a security deposit or card pre-authorisation at check-in; this is between you and the property.
  • Visas, passports and entry requirements for international travel are your responsibility.

6. Travel insurance

Booking prices do not include travel insurance. We strongly recommend taking out appropriate travel insurance for any trip, particularly for international travel and non-refundable rates.

7. Our liability

We arrange bookings with care and skill and are responsible for the arranging services we provide. The accommodation itself is provided by the property, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for acts or omissions of properties or suppliers, or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

8. Questions and complaints

Our support runs on email, deliberately: concierge@bookingclub.com.au. We respond quickly and keep a written trail of everything agreed. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
